Aetna PPO vs. Aetna Dental HMO
Aetna offers both PPO dental plans and Dental HMO (DMO) plans, and they work differently. We’re in-network with Aetna’s dental PPO plans. If you have an Aetna DMO, your plan may require a referral from your assigned primary dentist and may not cover care outside its network. Check your member ID card for the plan type, or call us and we’ll look it up.
How your Aetna dental benefits typically apply to oral surgery
Most Aetna dental PPO plans cover a portion of oral surgery, such as extractions and wisdom teeth removal, after your deductible and up to your annual maximum. Implant and sedation coverage depends on your employer’s plan. We verify your benefits within one business day and share an estimate before your consultation.

I have Aetna medical insurance. Does that include dental?

Does Aetna cover dental implants?
